Getting Started
To begin the reverse mortgage process there are two steps that must be done, in no particular order, before anything else can be done. One is to meet with a reverse mortgage specialist to discuss the available options and to fill out an application and sign disclosures. The second is to get counseled by an FHA counselor in regards to a reverse mortgage. The counseling is free of charge and lasts about an hour long. The counseling is done in person or over the phone.
